Lene Marlin - sorry

"Sorry"

Do you wanna know, what I think of you
Do you wanna know
Do you wanna know, if I'm doing OK
Just ask and I'll say
I'll say the words that I've longed to speak
Have kept quiet for some time

I'm sorry, it's just too late
To get it all back, get back what we had
I'm sorry, it's just not right
We both know it wasn't meant to be like
This at all

Do you wanna know, how I feel about you
Do you wanna know,
Do you wanna know, if I'm able to forget
There are times, I wish we'd never met

I'm sorry, it's just too late
To get it all back, get back what we had
I'm sorry, it's just not right
We both know it wasn't meant to be like
This at all

Jason Mraz - Flying my guilt over a quilt (Plane)

Flying My Guilt Over A Quilt Lyrics

Drain the vein in my head
Clean out the red in my eyes to get by
Security line, the x-ray machine
Pretend you don't know me so well
I wont tell if you lie
Cry but the droughts been brought up
Drink 'cause you lookin so good in the Starbuck's cup
I complain 'bout the company that I keep
The window's for sleeping
Rearrange I'm no body I'm no laughing now

I'm leaving your town again
But I'm over the quilt you're spinning
And I'm up in the air, yea yea,
But I can see your house from here
If the plane goes down, yea yea,
I'll remember where the love was found
If the plane goes down, yea yea

Damn, I should be so lucky
Even only 24 hours under your touch
But still I need you so much
I cannot wait to call you
And tell you that I landed somewhere
And hand you a square of this airport
And walk you through the mains of the map that I'm gazing at
And gracefully enamed and feeling guilty for the luck
And the look that you gave me
You made me somebody, still nobody knows me
But not even me can see it, yet I'm wetter

Said I'm leaving your town, again
But I'm over the quilt you're spinning
And I'm up in the air, yea yea,
But I can see your house from here
If the plane goes down, yea yea,
I'll remember where the love was found
If the plane goes down, yea yea

If it goes down

Black seeds, they tear me open
And supposedly you could crawl right through me
Taste these
teeth please
And undress me from the sweaters
Better hurry cause I'm over heating
Upward bound now,
Now, maybe I'll build a house in the clouds
Still I'm tumbling for you
Stumbling from the work that I have to do
Don't mean to harm you, no

Cause I'm leaving your town again
But I'm over the quilt you've been spinning round
And I'm up in the air, oh yea
Baby, I can see your house from here
And if my plane goes down, yea yea,
I will remember where the love was found
If the plane goes down, yea yea
I'll remember where the love was found

If the plane goes down, yea yea
I'll remember where the love was found

If the plane goes down, yea yea

The Roots - You Got Me

Featuring Eryka Badu as EVE

[chorus-EVE]
If you were worried 'bout where
I been or who I saw or
what club I went to with my homies
baby don't worry
you know that you got me

(Black Thought)
Somebody told me that this planet was small
we use to live in the same building on the same floor
and never met before
until I'm overseas on tour
and peep this ethiopian queen from philly
taking classes abroad
she studying film and photo flash focus record
said she workin on a flick and
could my click do the score
she said she loved my show in paris
at Elysee Montmartre
and that I stepped off the stage
and took a piece of her heart
we knew from the start
that things fall apart,
intentions shatter
she like that shit don't matter
when I get home get at her
through letter, phone, whatever
let's link, let's get together
shit you think not, think the Thought went home and forgot
time passed, we back in philly now she up in my spa
tellin me the things I'm tellin her is makin her hot
startin buildin with her constantly round the clock
now she in my world like hip-hop
and keep tellin me

Chorus

[Black Thought]
Yo, I'm the type that's always catchin a flight
and sometimes I gotta be out at the height of the night
and that's when she flip and get on some 'ol

[Eve]
Another lonely night
seems like I'm on the side you only loving your mic
I know you gotta get that paper daddy keep that shit tight
but yo I need some sort of love in my life, you dig me
while politicin with my sister from new york city
she said she know this ball player and he think I'm pretty
Psyyyych, I'm playin boo, you know it's just wit you I'm stayin boo
and when cats be poppin game I don't hear what they sayin boo
when you out there in the world, I'm still your girl
with all my classes I don't have the time for life's thrills
so when you sweatin on stage think of me when you rhyme
and don't be listenin to your homies they be leavin you blind

[Black] Yeah, so what you sayin I can trust you?
[Eve] Is you crazy, you my king for real
[Both] But sometimes relationships get ill
[Eve] No doubt

Chorus

[Black Thought]
Thet snake could be that chick
and that rat could be that cool cat
that's whispering "she tryin to play you for the fool Black"
if something's on your chest then let it be known
see I'm not your every five minutes all on the phone
and on the topic of trust, it's just a matter of fact
that people bite back
and fracture what's intact
and they'll forever be I ain't on some "oh I'm a celebrity"
I deal with the real so if it's artificial let it be
I've seen people caught in love like whirlwinds
listening to they squads and listening to girlfriends
that's exactly the point where they whole world ends
lies come in, that's where that drama begins, she like

Chorus: repeat until fade

my favorite song (on good relationships gone bad) by far and i listen to it almost daily
give it a listen, you'd be surprised at how they got the message through, sung with a lot of emotions too, it's just sublime

India Arie - video

Video

[Verse 1]
Sometimes I shave my legs and sometimes I don’t
Sometimes I comb my hair and sometimes I won’t
Depend of how the wind blows I might even paint my toes
It really just depends on whatever feels good in my soul

[Chorus]
I’m not the average girl from your video
And I ain’t built like a supermodel
But I learned to love myself unconditionally,
Because I am a queen
I not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I’m wearing I will always be India.Arie

[Verse 2]
When I look in the mirror and the only one there is me
Every freckle on my face is where it’s suppose to be
And I know my creator didn’t make no mistakes on me
My feet, my thighs, my Lips, my eyes, I’m loving what I see

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
Am I less of a lady if I don’t where panty hose
My momma said a lady ain’t what she wears but what she knows…
But I’ve drawn the conclusion, it’s all an illusion
Confusion’s the name of the game
A misconception, a vast deception,Something got to change

Now don’t be offended this is all my opinion
Ain’t nothing that I’m saying law
This is a true confession
Of a life learned lesson
I was sent here to share with y'all
So get in when you fit in
Go on and shine
Clear your mind
Now’s the time
Put your salt on the shelf
Go on and love yourself
‘Cause everything’s gonna be alright

[Chorus]

[Out]
Keep your fancy drink, and your expensive minks
I don’t need that to have a good time
Keep your expensive cars and your caviar
All’s I need is my guitar

Keep your crystal and your pistol
I’d rather have a pretty piece of crystal
Don’t need you silicone, I prefer my own
What god gave me is just fine…

[Chorus]

i really enjoy this song, although it's all about women empowerment and i'm usually about commodifying each other, yet it helps me relax and only worry about enjoying myself without worrying about how people view me
